- Each resident rotating to the VA must be fingerprinted (it’s a one-time requirement). Those who have rotated here in the academic year (AY) that’s concluding on 6/30/07 do not have to be fingerprinted. Those who have never rotated in the previous
AY or whose last rotation was prior to 2006 needs to be fingerprinted. Once fingerprinting is completed, only then can computer access
codes be requested. It takes approximately 3-4 workdays to get codes and then give same to the residents. Then they will
be able to be involved in direct-patient care.
- To make this as painless as possible, please forward this e-mail to residents that are scheduled to rotate here this AY. They can call me at 556-7199 or call Montrell Bogus at 556-7288 so this all-important task can be
scheduled prior to their beginning their rotation. In addition, once your rotation schedules are complete, please forward to me.
- We plan to have an orientation for the residents, but fingerprinting must be accomplished and codes requested prior to an orientation date.
- If you have any questions, contact me.
