The LSU Eye Center provides comprehensive eye care services including routine eye examinations, contact lenses, management of simple and complex medical and surgical eye disorders, inpatient consultations, and diagnostic testing.

Insurance
The LSU Eye Center accepts most major health insurance plans including MEDICARE, MEDICAID, TENET-65, and many other government, private, and managed care plans. Please call (504) 412-1210 to inquire about your health plan.

Financial Assistance
Community Lions Clubs sponsor people in their areas who need financial assistance with eye care and meet eligibility criteria. Please visit the Lions Information area on the home page.

Free Prescription Medicine
you may qualify for assistance with your prescription drugs. Please visit www.helpingpatients.org for more details.

Physician Referrals
The LSU Eye Center is a noted referral or tertiary care institution for consultation and treatment of difficult ophthalmic problems; however, a referral is not necessary.
